Hi, I see you're experiencing problems with your gigabyte H310M S2H. It's emitting a beep pattern five times without immediate escalation. You've already changed the RAM, removed the GPU, reset the CPU, and cleared the CMOS. Based on these steps, it seems like the issue might be related to the CPU or MOBO (likely a motherboard component). Have you encountered similar problems before? Any insights would be valuable.

Certainly. The likelihood of a CPU fault is extremely low. Are there other possibilities you're considering?

I’m considering a board fault because, based on the list and your comments, it seems more likely an RTC issue. From what I know, a bad board battery often leads to this kind of problem.

I switched to another screen and it's working now. That's unusual. I'll keep checking.

It seems this motherboard may trigger a CPU error if the display isn't connected or the cable is faulty, blocking startup. The issue was spotted on Reddit, but reports to Gigabyte haven’t led to any resolution yet. More information would help clarify the situation.

Unclear if this message will ever reach you, but I really appreciate the advice. I’ve been struggling for a week with this issue. Two different processors and motherboards from Gigabyte—read voltages, reset CMOS, re-seated RAM, re-seated CPU. Every time it beeps five! According to Gigabyte, that’s a CPU error. After swapping the display cables, everything works again. You’re probably joking.

I experienced similar problems too. I checked various locations and found that the 5 beeps might stem from several causes. I was using a Gigabyte H310M-H-2.0. I tried different solutions: new HDMI cable, new monitor, two different VGA connections, fresh CMOS battery, new RAM, and even removed all non-essential components. Nothing resolved the issue. However, others reported success with these steps. Don’t dismiss them if you face this problem. Some users removed their RAM and ran the PC without it—restarting with RAM fixed it. Others noticed the error only occurred when a GPU was present; removing it resolved it. I added a $40 GPU to my system and the error disappeared, allowing me to boot normally. I created an account to share this information online, as it seems many people spend days or weeks searching for answers. Let me know if this helps.

it seems the fix would have mentioned a matching display cable, as performance varied between displays likely due to resolution differences. Eventually switching to another cable helped resolve the issue.

I recently changed my setup from an intel celeron g4900 3.1ghz to 8gb ram and from gt710 1gb gddr4 to a gtx1650 4gb gbbd5 oc edition. My old monitor only had vga and dvi ports, so I added an hdmi to vga adapter. This issue keeps happening whenever I move the case. It really reassured me since I believed there was a problem with my parts. I don’t have any more funds left even after repairs. I’m 15 years old. Smile)
