4690k OC to 4.5
4690k OC to 4.5
I don't want to waste too much, but just enough for a solid CPU cooler since I'm going to overclock.
The other two I suggested probably won't get you 4.5GHz if your chip is decent or lucky.
Depending on your silicon luck, you might not even reach them with the best coolers. But the 212 Evo or Cryorig would work well and perform okay.
No, I don't recommend the H80i. Consider either NH-D15 or Evo 212 instead.

I was wondering if you should consider purchasing either the NH-D15 or the Evo 212 instead of the H80i? Not the H80i, right? I think the NH-D15 might perform better than the H80i in most situations, though that might not be accurate. The Evo 212 should match the H80i's performance. I found a discussion about someone using the NH-D14 versus the H80i here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1539308/corsa...tua-nh-d14. You'll probably see that the NH-D14 is at least 20 degrees cooler.
Hey! I didn't expect the change to be so noticeable... The H80i actually has a higher price than both options, so I thought it would look better. So, I'm going with the 212 evo or NH-D14 then! 😄
When i asked the chat on the PC store, he suggested the H80i would be the best choice for me in this case... I don't think so anymore since I didn't see it in the thread you sent me.
You're absolutely correct! 😄
😀
I might consider going for the 212 evo!
Thanks for the assistance!!
