Hello, I noticed a small change in my performance after the release of 14900KS. When I used 8000Mhz RAM with XMP enabled, unlocked limits were active but overclocking wasn't possible—just stock performance. My 3DMark TimeSpy score dropped from 28900 to around 26500. Someone suggested running TimeSpy with stock settings and 8000Mhz RAM to compare results. The TweakTown review also mentioned a similar score of about 27300 for the stock version at 5.9GHz. I have two water-cooled PCs: a 3090, a 13900KS 4090, a 14900KS, and a 5.9Ghz 4.8Ghz E with 50 Cache. All set to 5.9GHz P and 8000Mhz RAM, scoring in the 26300-26500 range. The stock configuration matches what I saw earlier, though it was higher before. A forum example showed a 5.7Ghz 13900KS achieving around 27000.

Do you have a previous OCR profile stored in your BIOS that could be useful for reverting changes?

Check your operating system version to determine if it's Windows 10 or 11.

Windows 11 is the newest operating system available. If you want to revert to an older version, you might need to consider trying a previous OS.

It's best to stick with the latest version of Windows 11.

If you're using Windows Defender, execute ThrottleStop and verify the Windows Defender Boost box in the Options window. Defender has a bug that can consume many CPU cycles and lower performance. Enable the Log File option during testing and upload a log for your next update.

Sadly no improvement. BIOS is the one before the NERF. Downloaded Throttle stop to see if the Defender boost will help but no sadly. Reinstalled Windows completely and no luck still with 21H2 (this boosted my scores on a laptop a while ago) Still I got here is max 27000 with 5.9 4.8 50 OC.

Changed BIOS to the latest version below the newest release, but nothing happened. Tried the BIOS released with 14900K but also failed. Adjusted BIOS from 2302 to 1402, dropping many versions. Not sure what’s affecting performance anymore. Used to run at 30K smoothly.
