On scan.co.uk I've noticed the pre-order feature launched around 15:30 GMT/UTC. The page now shows fewer than 300 viewers, with only 43 purchases recorded. I clicked 'pre-order' at 15:35 and will update once a delivery date is confirmed. It seems they offer a ready-built system with a 3950x model starting around 2pm, arriving on Wednesdays. I almost pressed the button but hesitated—despite its impressive specs and high-end build, I value the assembly process and want to inspect every part. I suspect most stock is reserved for official builds where profit margins are higher, which aligns with my approach.

Ordered a 3950X for enthusiasts in the UK. Must wait for the next release. Only six units available today, and they sold out quickly.

It raises questions about who Microcenter gave up control to. Both sites close to my workplace had more than ten employees each.

I've been working hard to reach a 3960x goal, but it's been tough. I discovered two US sites that accept pre-orders. I'll keep checking newegg, amazon, and bestbuy for a while, then place a preorder. The prices are a bit lower now, though. I'll share the link once I confirm my order. lol

They're facing the same "issue" as the 3900x model. It's widely recognized as a solid purchase, but it hasn't been available at the manufacturer's suggested retail price for over three months. This is disappointing for those trying to buy it now. I didn't discover a 3900x until just a few weeks ago (the launch was on July 7th).

3900x models were generally accessible on platforms like Newegg, though there seems to be a shift in focus toward newer versions. Some buyers have opted out of the 3950x line, possibly acquiring the 3900x as well. I have a working setup ready, and my PSU is up-to-date—I’m hoping I won’t face long waits for a CPU.

I kept checking Newegg until the end, I placed a preorder and there were still around 100 openings. The price jumped about $100, but I didn’t want to wait another four months—I’d been waiting all year for this CPU.

Yeah I'll pass. My rig has been down since last April. I'll placing bets or dropping down to the 3900x.
