Upgrading regularly every four years makes sense if there’s solid reasoning behind it. I’ve improved my system gradually, with clear reasons for each change and no need to chase the newest specs. Don’t let others or tech influencers dictate your choices; what works for you matters more than comparisons. If the upgrade still meets your needs without the desire for extra speed, it’s unnecessary. The 3900X remains quite strong in 2024, and many here would appreciate its performance. If you enjoy the process of upgrading, it’s fine, but if it becomes costly, it might not be wise.

Actually there is wrong, my mate. Believe it it a not as a industrial engineer I'd need to work whole month just to get myself CPU+MoBo+RAM.

Theoretical improvements in small cases don't justify a month's effort. Just execute what you have. It's acceptable.

Consider your own value. Ignore the noise from tech reviews and influencers. Whether something is better than something else doesn't matter—what matters is the solid reasoning behind it.

It's not just about hitting the highest frame rate—it's about keeping it steady. The numbers change depending on the game. For gaming, a 5800x3D is much more impressive than a 3900x3D at any setting or resolution, making it worth the investment. Unless you're ready to switch to AM5, a lower upgrade for 5000x3D is still a good choice.
