It seems the discussion isn't about tech but more about personal well-being. The topic likely relates to mental health and relationships with technology, possibly suggesting seeking professional help or considering medication.
Ignore the rumors about the 3900X falling out of favor. Are you content with what it offers? You're free to upgrade later if you wish.
It's at most acceptable. If he isn't utilizing those additional cores for anything substantial, a 5600X will provide him with a superior window experience as well as improved gaming performance. For example, my 5600X was roughly six minutes quicker in SuperPi 32M compared to my 3600XT. It might be the 5900X I'm considering, though—probably. Zen 3 tends to offer a more efficient architecture overall. My 5800X3D runs quite smoothly. However, the 3900X certainly has strong performance capabilities.
I support what I do, but haven’t spent much time on that PC yet—I’m still using 6700K for gaming. I keep it for 1440p with ultra settings and manage a decent FPS, except for Cyberbunk which just doesn’t work well. Why would I upgrade to 5800X3D? To hit over 100 FPS? And why do I need more than 100 FPS?
I recall in 2020 I spent about 2300 euros on an X570 platform with a 3900X. At that time I chose the fastest CPU available, excluding the 3950X and the top build option which cost around 500 euros. After four years I’m now facing high costs for outdated parts just because my PC is four years old and feels outdated compared to a 13700K. Every three to four years I replace everything with new components, which is frustrating. I wish I could stop this cycle and feel like a victim of AMD/INTEL, etc. If that machine could generate income, why not? But having three of them in my room is just wasting space.
