I upgraded my 3800x to 4.4ghz with all cores at 1.375V. It runs hot under an NH-D15, reaching around 88°C with Cinnebench R20. Adobe Premiere shows it drops to about 81°C, and gaming temps hit 65°C while idle stays near 43°C. I’m using manual fan speeds for quieter operation. Most programs start up with some CPU load—removing them can lower idle temps to around 40°C.

Hey everyone, I've been seeing my chip getting pretty hot lately—especially during boosts—and it was showing almost 1.5V stock. To try and fix it, I went overclocked using Ryzen Master. Here are my Cinebench R20 results along with the temperatures. What do you all think? AC Clock / Volts Cinebench R20 Temp STOCK 4886 73 3.9Ghz / 1.2V 4568 56 4.0Ghz / 1.2V 4662 58 4.1Ghz / 1.2V 4815 59 4.2Ghz / 1.2V 4893 59 4.3Ghz / 1.275V 5046 66 4.35Ghz / 1.2875V 5102 68 I was aiming for around 4.4Ghz all cores, but even at 1.325V it wasn't working well and the game would crash after a few seconds. Maybe I'll push for 4.4 or even 4.5 since I'm not hitting my thermal limits yet. Any advice? I'm new to overclocking since those days with the FX-8320 on a 120mm AIO.**

It doesn't seem to hit 5.2 like my 9600k jk, but you got some great results. You definitely won the lottery!

I'm really happy about this. Achieving a 5.2 on a 3800x would require extreme cold, liquid nitrogen, high voltage, and a bit of luck.

It might work by turning off all cores except one and using dry ice or a similar method to try to achieve the effect.
