3800x OC Questions
I upgraded my 3800x to 4.4ghz with all cores at 1.375V. It runs hot under an NH-D15, reaching around 88°C with Cinnebench R20. Adobe Premiere shows it drops to about 81°C, and gaming temps hit 65°C while idle stays near 43°C. I’m using manual fan speeds for quieter operation. Most programs start up with some CPU load—removing them can lower idle temps to around 40°C.
Hey everyone, I've been seeing my chip getting pretty hot lately—especially during boosts—and it was showing almost 1.5V stock. To try and fix it, I went overclocked using Ryzen Master. Here are my Cinebench R20 results along with the temperatures. What do you all think? Maybe I'll push for 4.4 or even 4.5 since I'm not hitting my thermal limits yet. Any advice? I'm new to overclocking since those days with the FX-8320 on a 120mm AIO.**
