This board really stands out, I believe the B450 Tomahawk MAX is an excellent choice. On Reddit someone mentioned that the MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX VRMs could handle an R9 3950X with all its features while maintaining top thermal performance. They suggest avoiding X570 models unless you specifically need PCIe 4.0 or other unique capabilities, as dealing with thermal pads or aftermarket cooling upgrades can be complicated for a brand new system.

The board you need should be rated for AMP capacity, not watts. You're looking for a 150 amp capable motherboard. Check the threaded board tier list for suitable options. Good luck!

Usually Ryzen requires a minimum of 3200 MHz RAM to operate optimally, and the cost gap isn’t too large. It makes sense to invest a bit more now and avoid any issues later.
