3700x vs 3800x, worth or not?

Hey there, I've been looking into the CPU specs and noticed a 2% difference between 3700x and 3800x. Also, considering the Liquid Freezer II 360, I'm wondering if it's worth going for the 3800x model at the higher price point with a 105W TDP or sticking with the 3700x. Any tips on tweaking this setup? No GPU needed—just thoughts on components and changes. Thanks!

I’d only receive the 3800x if it was during a huge discount. None of the x chips (the 3700x isn’t really relevant—it’s just replacing the 1700/2700, and there’s no non-x) are worth it.

I concur, improve the RAM would help. The Mobo performs well, but only if you require PCIe 4.0.

In my country these prices sound good. I believe the Ryzen 7 3800x is a better value compared to the 3700x. What are your thoughts?

I hope I can upgrade to better RAM. I’m considering 3800x for 340 euros, and 3700x for 300 to 310 euros. It’s on sale in my country right now.

If your finances allow, opt for the 3800x version. Just a 30€ gap is quite reasonable.
