32 bit system, 64 bits not supported
I attempted to set up Fedora 20 on my desktop following a thorough clean and Windows reinstall. My 64-bit CD worked, but the 32-bit one didn’t boot at all—though it seemed unusual. With the PAE kernel installed, I’m wondering if others face similar issues.
Phenom II 965 is installed on a 64-bit Windows system. I believe it’s the correct version, but the connection is too slow to proceed further.
For a slower internet connection, consider employing a download manager and opting for a link that allows resuming. The 64-bit ISO file may have dropped during transfer, causing the browser to finish what it started with the data it had, resulting in an incomplete file.
That's accurate. I recently updated to a 64-bit version of Mint while using the desktop, and it functioned perfectly. (Driver support for Red Hat kernels was removed after version 3.13.)
