I aim to maximize savings here. These components should work well with your Ryzen 5 5600X and the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB. The motherboard supports four RAM slots, allowing future upgrades. Model: MSI MAG B550M Mortar Max WiFi.

2x16 unless purchasing OEM bare PCBs, as this lets you choose the exact part number for consistent performance. Avoid generic 4060TI and opt for used 3070/3080 or 6700XT models for 200–350$ depending on your budget. Pair that with a used 5600X, which sits around $70–90, to build a more efficient system. For better results without breaking the bank, consider a 7800XT/4070 and a 12th-gen chip paired with a 12600K—this replaces the 5700X. New AM4 parts aren’t worth it; go with proven options.

It hinges on how long you intend to maintain the setup. 16 GB works for casual use, but 32 GB would be better. Using two sticks tends to perform better with XMP than four. Considering future upgrades, DDR5 might make more sense later. For now, start with 2x16 GB unless you anticipate a quick replacement.

there’s a major lack of used components and my finances can’t cover either the $4070 or $12,600k options (not even close). for my CPU I’m considering the R5 5600x and the i5 12400F. I picked the former because it allows overclocking potential. I managed to squeeze in the 4060Ti just barely. I initially thought about starting with the 4060 but realized the performance difference justified the extra $100 (compared to Cyberpunk 2077 RT benchmarks).

Which nation? Go for a 5600 non-x if you can, otherwise it’s likely around the same 4.7-4.8ghz allcore. A 5600x will be quicker than a 12400f mainly because of its higher clock speed (the 12400f is capped at just 4ghz allcore). If you can’t find used, at least get a new 6700xt. The 4060ti still underperforms the 3070, which is roughly comparable to a 6700xt if you ignore VRAM differences. Also check out cheaper boards—maybe there are good deals on older b550 or even new b450 models.

in india i was searching for a more affordable motherboard. almost considered asus prime but it overheats. i'm thinking about purchasing an msi b550m vhd-pro wifi now. the only other choice is gigabyte b550m ds3h ac wifi, but the gpu stock here is poor. 6700xt isn't in stock. within my budget there are 3060, 4060, 4060ti, 6750xt and a few more. i'd probably go for a 3070, though it's not available either. 4000 series gpus are readily accessible too. p.s. sorry for the long wait. i was sick

6750xt remains superior to the 4060ti with 8GB, so go with that option instead

I notice the feedback is consistent, so I’ll likely stick with it then.
