20 frames per second in video games using an RTX 2080
New PC built recently featuring an RTX 2080, 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000Mhz RAM, and an i7 8700k. The graphics card is around 30c (86f). I've played Rainbow Six Siege, CSGO, Apex Legends, and Subnautica all on high settings, achieving between 10FPS and 30 FPS except for CSGO where I get about 50 FPS. My display is a 1360 x 768 Mini TV at 60Hz. After uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics drivers, I'm still unsure what's happening. Any suggestions would be helpful!
Use DDU to reinstall your drivers following a clean wipe. Simply removing them via nvidia or windows is not the optimal approach.
Verify whether the games have any FPS limits, just to confirm.
It seems your display stands out in the specifications, though I question if that’s the main concern.
Well, the only other idea that comes to mind is that you might have purchased your GPU from eBay or something similar and received a counterfeit one. Otherwise, I would attempt a fresh installation of Windows to ensure there are no software-related problems.
