I changed my NIC on the TrueNAS machine from PCI-E slots to the first one this morning, aiming for better performance. Maybe this adjustment resolved the problems I've faced before. The command executed successfully, connecting to 192.168.2.139 on port 5201.

I'm seeking advice from everyone. I've been attempting to establish a 10Gb connection for the past two days and thank all who assisted. I performed two iperf tests and observed varying outcomes. The data below shows that when using TrueNAS as the server, I approach the target speed, but with Windows as the server it falls short. I've updated the drivers to the latest versions. The Windows setup is 192.168.2.138 Truenas, version 10.0.22000.258 © Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Server and client can stay identical; just reverse the transfer with -R command. When using multiple parallel streams with -P 2 or more, it’s possible to monitor CPU usage on both sides during testing. Expect high load—10G is quite demanding. Real-world results often differ from small measurements. Only a few gigabits are typically observed.

The -R command should simplify things. Downloading from Truenas to Windows 11 PC is quite fast—around 51% speed with 313MBs. Using a DAC cable instead of the switch boosted performance to 10Gbps. It seems the switch might be the root cause. After trying to bypass it, resetting the switch didn’t help; the port stayed unresponsive and I couldn’t log in to the GUI. I reached out to Tp-Link for alternatives but were told no solution existed. Since the switch arrived on October 15th, I contacted Amazon for a replacement, which should arrive by Monday. I’m hoping it resolves the issue.
