Hey everyone, I purchased a 10Gbps switch (TL-SX3008F v1.0) but when connecting the two computers I'm only seeing about 225MB. I've attached the system details if you need more info. Thanks for all the support on reaching my goal of a high-speed network. Computer 1: OPS - Windows 11 v21HC, MAC B450, AORUS PRO WIFI-CF, CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with Radeon Vega (3700Mhz), 4 cores, 8 logical processors, RAM 32GB, NIC Mellanox ConnectX EN (MT26448) PCIe 2.0 5GT/s, Ethernet cable, SSDs included. Computer 2: OPS - Truenas, AORUS PRO WIFI CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600, RAM 64GB, same NIC and adapter. Drives are listed with capacities ranging from 232.89 to 3.64 TiB. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

I'm checking performance by measuring file copy limits. I'll try iperf to assess network speed and determine if it's constrained by protocol or storage limits.

Check the RAID setup of your hard drives. These older units might not work smoothly with Windows 11.

You can open the Command Prompt by searching for it in the Start menu or using the shortcut CMD. On the Truenas server, check if the IP address is accessible from your device and adjust any firewall settings if needed.

I believe iperf is available in Truenas. Just connect via SSH and execute the command.

Id try using the -p 8 for 8 parallel streams to test if its a network issue or not. Seems to be a network issue. Also try a direct link between the pcs if you can to rule out the switch.

I was just checking something, and it seems this could be the reason for the problem. My NVME only supports up to 2500 MB, so is this part of the issue?

2500MBps is roughly equivalent to 25000Mbps in terms of bytes versus bits; this isn't related to the issue you're facing.
