Checking CPU options to see if they improve stuttering. Budget is tight, so comparing 10600k vs 10700k makes sense. Looking for a solid MOBO for the 10700 without overpaying. MSI B460M with 10700 is a possibility too.
What specifications do you have now? Are you planning on using an Intel processor? I wouldn't recommend a locked chip. What are your requirements and what is your budget?
The 10700k is close to 400 while the 10700 is at 330 at 4.8GHz, just a bit lower than 5.1Ghz. Probably there’s a big performance gap. We’re trying to figure out why it stutters, so I’m leaning toward the two options. Just not going for AMD, it’s about gaming.
Unclear why I referenced the budget, I've already invested thousands to try to improve the PC. At 1080p, the Intel chips appear to offer much better performance than AMD ones. In fact, the 10600k delivers significantly higher FPS compared to the 3600 benchmark.
You gauge the future by observing upcoming updates and features. Stay patient for Zen 3, then evaluate its capabilities.
For a solid build, choose the 10600K and a budget Z490 model such as the Asus Prime P or MSI A Pro. Skip the low-cost Asrock boards.
Have been diagnosing stuttering for over 3 years, buying up different components. So spend a lot of time and money trying to fix the issue. HGAve hteory that one of the parts is shorting all the other parts every time I install new components so going to install all together this time. My issue is that I dont know if the 3600 will be a good enough upgrade for my PC. I plan to buy a 3070/3080 when they release and wan tot future proof the CPU. Do you think the 3600 is enough, I guess its comparable to the 8700k?
