100 FPS in CS with RTX 2070 and Ryzen 5 1600
100 FPS in CS with RTX 2070 and Ryzen 5 1600
then ram isn't the problem... that's a silly question, but what's the in-game FPS limit? or without limits... I've never played CSGO or any other CS game before... so I have no idea how the settings work.
90% utilization on just one core in the main menu when Multicore Rendering is active
70-90% usage on that single core and no other cores during the most demanding scenario in CS
80-90% when Multicore Rendering is turned off (performance fell to 60-80 fps)
Main menu shows CPU1 compared with the remaining 11 units
Entered under stress, yet same outcome occurred
Multicore Rendering turned off (noticed performance drop)
It might not make much difference, but you can open Task Manager and go to the Details section, then adjust the processor affinity for CS:GO to CPU0-5 or CPU6-11. If those are the intended processors on each CCX, this will make the game run on just one CCX. Sharing cores between CCXs is less efficient than using the same CCX.
The adjustments in the thread didn't seem intended for an R5, which is understandable.
I'm pleased you achieved better performance through affinity. I'd keep experimenting with such settings and try to maximize efficiency.
Maybe God is punishing you for playing CS .. lol jk jk man,, .. Here is the thing you hvae a 2070 RTX which can make todays games @ your resolution run at 200fps and drop to 150 once in a while. Depends on games of course. As far as CS, That GPU is pissed because even a 760 can play at 150fps. So ya with a 2070 in CS you should be 300fps at all times with zero performance drops even with 32 players. Your CPU is holding you back, PERIOD.
