Zenith Extreme issues boot errors.
Motherboard: Zenith Extreme Gen 1 CPU: 2950x TR RAM: Nemix 2666 ECC (YES works) Graphics: 970 ti PS: Cosair HX1200i Drive: 970 EVO M.2 Setting up a versatile server for media, files, streaming, etc. I booted it last week and noticed the SAS controller wasn’t installed correctly. I received the replacement and put it in place. Still nothing. Completed steps so far: 0) I already flashed the board for the second-gen Ryzen lineup. 1) Disassembled everything to test booting. Failed repeatedly—card by card, RAM by RAM. 2) Reinstalled CPU. 3) Disconnected and reconnected all cables in the power supply. 4) Used a multimeter to check voltage from the PSU. 5) Attempted to flash BIOS but the board didn’t respond. 6) When powering on, RGB lights came on but the internal power switch, memory test switch, and reset switch stayed dead. This issue started about four days ago after installing the OS and setting up services for Plex, Samba shares, etc. Now it’s just stress over parts—those expensive components.
The button clicked briefly before everything went dark. After that, it ceased to work at all. I removed the CMOS battery and still had no response. The screen only displayed colors, but the power switch didn’t activate. There was no sound from the fans or any flashing on the OLED.
Ensured LN2 and Slow mode are off. Verified safe boot functionality was tested.
Ensure the PSU works properly, then return the motherboard for repair.
I transferred the PSU to a different setup. The second-hand motherboard cannot be returned for exchange.
