I recently purchased a Zenbook 14 flip OLED (Ryzen version - UN5401). The HDMI connection is acting oddly. When I connect an external monitor, my PC recognizes it and shows the monitor details in the display manager. I can adjust resolutions and refresh rates, but the output stays completely black about 95% of the time. Occasionally it works briefly, then it disappears entirely. What’s unusual is that the connection doesn’t seem to fail like a loose cable; instead, the signal drops without any visible disconnection. It looks like the issue lies with the output signal itself, not just the physical link. Learning more about how HDMI transmits data could help clarify this. Anyone familiar with similar problems? Hardware or software tips would be great! I’ve updated the BIOS, reinstalled drivers, and even performed a full Windows reinstall, but nothing resolved it.

Maybe the cable isn't right, consider alternatives.

I've tested multiple monitors, a projector, and various cables, but the issue remains consistent.
