I've been dealing with this problem for a few days now. Last week my system started working fine until then, and I hadn't made any changes. When I opened the case, I noticed the DRAM and CPU indicators switching between states. Also, the CPU fan lights aren't functioning properly. My setup is: Z790 UD AX Intel Core i5-13600KF 3.5 GHz, Box AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT, 16GB DDR5 GDDR6, Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 750W, 80 Plus Gold Full Team Group T-Force Vulcana. I've tried updating the BIOS, resetting both BIOS and motherboard (pin and battery), cleaning the RAM, swapping slots, and even using a different CPU fan. The RAM at A2 and B2 still doesn't work. Booting without the GPU is possible, but without the GPU it's not working. I've tested the RAM and CPU on another board of the same model, but the issue persists. I'm also trying a new power supply, but I don't have any new CPUs or RAMs yet, so I'll leave that for later.

It seems the RAM and CPU are causing the same issue in another system. This indicates a potential hardware problem. Check the CPU first, then the RAM. You should be able to pinpoint the defective part.

Begin the setup using just the RAM modules; the motherboard lights focus solely on the CPU. No booting observed, though I suspect a CPU is essential for startup. Once the CPU is installed, the lights switch between DRAM and CPU signals. I plan to test with a different CPU next week, hoping this resolves the problem.

Testing with the new CPU hasn't resolved the DRAM-CPU problem. It seems like a possible issue might come from one of the components you're using, not just the motherboard itself. This is confusing because it happened with both boards you tried.
