Quick thought on MSI Z690 DDR4. The specs show 4 memory slots with 288 pins each, supporting DDR4 standards up to 3200/2933/2666/2133 MHz. Overclocking limits are quite high—up to 5200+ for single channel and 4800+ for dual. With a 650 ps non-modular setup and an 8-pin CPU, you’d likely need a PSU rated around 750 to handle the dual-mode operation at those speeds.

The second 8-pin connector is mainly for connecting to liquid nitrogen, which isn't typically used with MSI DDR4 systems. It doesn't influence memory overclocking results.

You're right, it's important to confirm the power supply meets your needs. 650w is quite modest nowadays.
