Z590i Aorus Ultra fails to meet manually configured CPU voltage settings
Hello, I'm trying to boost my system's performance. I have an i7 11700k, Z590i Aorus Ultra, 16GB DDR4 3600 CL16 Corsair, and a SF600 PSU. The issue is that my motherboard only records the Vcore value I enter (like 1.35V) when using fixed or auto mode. In adaptive or override settings, no matter what I set, the voltage stays at 1.467V in BIOS. What I need is adaptive overclocking with dynamic voltage and frequency control in Windows. When I don’t need high performance, the frequency should drop and voltage lower, similar to what worked on my previous setup (like Z97 motherboard and i7 5775C). Any suggestions? Maybe I should adjust BIOS settings to allow full power limits or disable certain restrictions?
I figured it out on my own—thanks for all the help, though this forum isn’t great. The fix was to switch the VCore voltage mode to auto and use dynamic VCore offset control ("dynamic vcore (dvid)"). I set negative values like -0.13v and adjusted it to fine-tune the voltage.
