You're experiencing stuttering in games when using a Logitech G502 at 1000 polling rate. The issue seems to be related to your chipset or motherboard. For the Z390 board you're using, there isn't an available chipset update that resolves this problem. You might want to check if downloading the Z370 chipset is possible for your specific model. Your system includes a GTX 1070 Ti Strix, i9 9900K (overclocked), 24GB DDR4 RAM, and a 500GB SSD.

Maybe adjust the frequency of checks instead.

since i enjoy competitive shooters and have a top-tier system, i won’t settle for a 4ms delay—i need 1ms or better.

You haven't tried the 500 yet. A 2ms response time is quite good. Which Z390 board are you working with? We can't confirm if the Z370 chipset drivers function without knowing the specific board.

Resolved the problem by disabling C3 State in the BIOS settings.
