Could this be a dual-bios motherboard? It looks like it might need replacement.
Received another update from Gigabyte and they’re suggesting I return the board for a replacement. It’ll be a bit tricky since it’s my main PC at home, and being without it will be really frustrating. Should I be able to purchase a new board directly from them? The only other keyboard I own is an Apple USB model, but I still face the same problems.
Typically it's connected to the board, though it might be anything. It could involve memory, USB devices, or the graphics card, etc. The problem seems to be with the video card and M2 drive. Would you try using them on another system and see if the issue repeats? If not, then proceed with an RMA for the board.
my Corsair K70 RGB has two USB A ports—one for the keyboard and another for pass-through. After disconnecting the pass-through, the issue was resolved. Both devices were connected to USB 3.0 ports. I tested various combinations in BIOS; even when unplugging the pass-through, the problem disappeared instantly. This worked with a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro.
