I faced the same problem with a 3200g 16g ripjaw model running at 2666mhz cl18 ram b450 gaming pro carbon ac Sx8200 pro 256gb boot drive Seagate barracuda 2tb hdd. There was a warning about the disk being close to failure. I also had a Cm masterwatt 550 and experienced a black screen during reformatting, which forced me to restart it multiple times. Eventually, it worked again after some adjustments. The CPU ended up chipped on top after dropping it.
