Here are the key points from your post:

The Bluetooth issue persists despite multiple attempts over several years. No switch or settings change works. The device isn’t showing up in Device Manager, and restarting services or reinstalling drivers hasn’t helped.

You’re dealing with a possible problem on older motherboards or with Windows updates. Try searching for your exact model—your case is ASUS ROG STRIX Z270G. Look into Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A drivers, possibly from the official site or unofficial repositories.

Steps you followed:
1. Shut down and unplug.
2. Plug in and power on.
3. Disable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in BIOS.
4. Use Device Manager to uninstall the Qualcomm device.
5. Scan for hardware changes, reinstall if needed.
6. Restart and try again.
7. Re-enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
8. Install "netathr10x.inf" carefully.
9. Wait and hope it works.

If this helps others with similar setups, feel free to mention those keywords in your reply. Good luck!

It has occurred once more. Uninstall, reinstall, remove the driver, then shut down. Instead of restarting, I powered off and tried again. I followed my own steps, but they didn’t work. After watching a VLC video, it simply stopped without warning. Clarified for you—my instructions weren’t effective. Just to confirm, I restarted immediately after powering on, and everything functioned normally. Updated October 20, 2020 by Conza Confirmation

Take my word for it, you're not listening anymore. This time it'll work. Avoid the Asus drivers—they're outdated and don't integrate properly. Use the original source, download the file, move it to a folder, right-click "netathr10x.inf" and install. Restart your device and enjoy better performance. Make sure you’ve downloaded the necessary files and know their locations. Remove the existing WLAN driver, add the new one, restart the device, and then it should function properly.

Sure thing. The file you have works just fine—no need to dig up more drivers. I tried Safe Mode but it didn’t make much difference. Here’s the step-by-step:

1. Shut down and unplug the device.
2. Plug it back in and turn it on, ready for BIOS.
3. In BIOS, turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
4. Go to Device Manager, then View > Show hidden devices.
5. In Device Manager, find the Network Adapter, uninstall the Qualcomm one—it should appear faded or grayed out.
6. Scan for any hardware changes to confirm it’s not being detected, then reinstall. Restart and try BIOS again.
7. Re-enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
8. Navigate to "netathr10x.inf" in the shell and install it—this can take a few minutes.
9. Restart once more and see if it works.

Good luck!
