Just a note, did you see the page where I obtained the build?
I picked the $1500 build and selected all the components recommended for that configuration, except for changing the fan type from liquid cooled to air cooled. Would you have any thoughts on who suggests these builds? Since this comes from the website, I really wanted to stick to the suggested setup.

Yeah I've seen those guides before, and honestly they didn’t really impress me. They’re not always bad, but often they make strange decisions or skip important steps that we think should be done. I see them mainly as a solid foundation for building something.

For example, if I were to upgrade a $1500 build, I’d switch the case, CPU cooler, DRAM, power supply, and video card. The graphics card and motherboard are pretty subjective, but I’d pick a different path.

For the CPU cooler, a budget dual tower air cooler would be better—it’s cheaper and avoids any doubts about long-term performance.

The case I’d choose is Lian-li 207; it’s just as good or even better, but it’s more affordable.

DRAM: the ones they chose are slow, and getting something faster wouldn’t be much more expensive.

PSU: with such a big investment, skimping on the power supply isn’t ideal. It doesn’t mean their choice will fail or cause issues. There are actually better PSUs in the same price range from brands like Corsair, MSI, and Cooler Master.

It has been a while since I had to assemble a computer, and so much has changed. Thank you for your time and effort with all of this.

No problem, and I think with hardware lasting so much longer we all have to learn/re-learn when doing new builds. Quite a bit of my current hardware knowledge comes from hanging around these forums and learning from people's experiences/knowledge.

New construction completed section by section for the $1500 gaming PC build with the listed specifications.
Intel Core i5-14600KF
$215
Gigabyte Z790 Gaming X AX
$199
RTX 4060 Ti
$592
Crucial Pro RAM 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5
$86
WD Black SN850X (2TB)
$148
Lian Li Lancool 216RX
$109
Corsair CX750M
$89
ID-Cooling FrostFlow 280mm
$59
Currently using four RAM sticks of the same brand, everything functions properly. I can run older games that need minimal memory, but installing the remaining three sticks causes the system to refuse booting. The motherboard will attempt to flash the DRAM if needed. Only one stick fits in slot B2; other sticks in that slot work fine. I've tried BIOS updates and clearing CMOS, but nothing resolves the issue. From my research thus far, this appears to be a problem with the Gigabyte motherboard. Is there anything missing? I've heard adjusting RAM speed is important for this board, but I can't locate the recommended settings. Thanks.
