I investigated ways to boost my internet performance by accessing the 192.168.0.1 network and disabling Band Steering. When I reactivated it, my download speed dropped significantly, followed by a drop in upload speed as well. It seems I may have unintentionally affected the network settings. Have I made any mistakes?

According to common understanding, band steering enables 5GHz-capable gadgets to utilize 5GHz channels without needing two distinct Wi-Fi networks. Ideally, restarting your device or the router should resolve any issues.

I attempted it, but I could possibly repeat it next time just to be cautious.

Did not confirm connecting to both networks during the off state. Possibly altered the 5GHz frequency and bandwidth settings.
