You've changed the motherboard, but the computer isn't starting.
I recently purchased a new motherboard and changed all the headers and power connectors. The specifications are as follows: I3-4130 Gtx 1050ti, 16GB RAM, Z97 PC Mate (new motherboard), 850W PSU, Coolermaster HAF X case. After installation, the computer briefly powers on for half a millisecond before shutting off. Only the keyboard remains active. I've tested using one stick per slot and no drives or SSDs either. Could you assist me with this issue? Thanks!
Inspect the 24-pin and 8-pin EPS cables. Verify the front panel connectors to confirm the power switch wire is correctly attached. It typically connects to pins 3 and 4 of the top row. Ensure there are no shorts to the motherboard (such as screws or standoffs). Once confirmed, remove the power cable and battery. Press the power button a few times, then hold it for two seconds. If issues persist, double-check that the CPU is properly seated in the socket and that the cooler isn't overly tightened.
