I'm experiencing some difficulties while watching videos on YouTube. Everything seems normal until I reopen the app, at which point the visuals become distorted. The outlines of objects, text, and other elements appear choppy, similar to what you see in a game without anti-aliasing. My usual fix is uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling it, but this only resolves the issue occasionally—about twice a week.

This problem appears only with YouTube and specifically on that browser. I tested it on other videos online, and everything displays correctly at 720p on my monitor (1440x900 resolution). Here are some examples: [link to image].

The jagged edges are most noticeable when zooming in on certain faces, like Linus's on full screen. What do you think might be causing this? Anyone else facing the same issue? Thanks ahead of time. UPDATE: I found a workaround that helped:

1. Open a new tab in Chrome.
2. Type "about:plugins" into the address bar and press Enter.
3. Click the plus sign next to Details in the top-right corner.
4. Search for Adobe Flash Player; it should be listed as the top entry.
5. Below it, you’ll see two Shockwave entries. Check the Location fields—look for PepperFlash.
6. Click Disable on that entry.
7. Exit Chrome, wait a moment, then restart it.

Now your YouTube videos should play much smoother. If you still face problems, reinstalling Adobe Shockwave might be necessary (though I haven’t tried it yet).

This appears to be an HTML5 issue. You might try a Chrome extension that compels Flash usage to resolve it. For suggestions on suitable extensions, feel free to ask.

FrankieOnPC mentioned earlier that it relates to how YouTube encodes and decodes videos.

I'm not sure. EDIT: Joking. Check your Google Chrome here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detai...pllmpfceif "It's called Magic Actions for YouTube and if you go into its settings, you can instruct it to force YouTube to use Flash instead of HTML5."

Thanks ! But before i saw your response i found this - Disable Youtube™ HTML5 Player - also on google store, and youtube is now forced to use flash instead of html5. But i might give a shot on that Magic Actions, it seems to have some cool features.

linus isn't real; it's just a bunch of pixels. It's all a computer image.
