YouTube SUX now is the latest update for smoother performance.
I don’t understand if it’s just me, but your PC’s CPU seems to be struggling a lot. On a 10100 chipset, 10-15% usage at 1080p playback is normal, yet reaching 40% causes noticeable lag. It only spikes when you try to display the HUD. Someone can help figure this out.
Your adblocker is active, which may be affecting the video quality.
Recently assisted numerous users on Discord, but their adblockers were the main issue.
Don't try to trick the adblocker into working harder—it won't help and might harm their performance.
When using the uBlock origin extension, you may install a script that prevents YouTube from recognizing your adblocker, which could improve loading speed. Navigate to your extension’s settings, select the "built-in" category, toggle options as needed, then click "purge all caches." Add the provided script to the "my filters page" location. For popups, hide specific overlays using the specified URL patterns and flags. Adjust overlay visibility with the relevant parameters. Reloading YouTube should resolve any issues with your adblocker.
It seems UBlock updated for Firefox, which caused my 8700t mini HP to run slower even at 720p. After adjusting settings quickly, it’s now smooth at 4K. This change is expected to be included in the next update.
When the issue arises, people are advised to open YouTube in an incognito window. The problem typically disappears. A simple method to pinpoint the cause.
It has fluctuated without much change on my end, showing the ongoing tension between YouTube and adblocker developers. It was slow at times, sometimes taking a while to notice the issue, then returning the next day. Occasionally it would be extremely sluggish, but it resolved quickly afterward. I've had to wait several seconds just to load a page or change to fullscreen. Even with a premium subscription, I still rely on an adblocker, though I hadn't considered turning it off for YouTube. Likely they wouldn't include the code if you have a premium account, but clearly that's not the case.
