When watching videos, press the gear icon and turn off Ambient Mode—it can noticeably reduce performance even on average systems. This tip may not always apply but could be worth trying. Also, keep an eye on Windows updates and consider reinstalling GPU drivers from the manufacturer’s site if needed.

You didn’t need any extra drivers for Ethernet to function properly. The smooth performance you experienced was likely due to a stable connection and compatible settings, which can happen with Wi-Fi.
