You're wondering why your stream frequently stops?
You're wondering why your stream frequently stops?
Hey everyone,
I'm really confused about this. My system runs at 9900K with a 5GHz setting, 1.265V, and has never experienced any issues for over a year. The temperatures stay below 40°C as well. I have a 16GB RAM setup with an Intel 2080 Ti processor.
My internet speed is slow—700 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload with Xfinity. When I stream games using GeForce Experience, my brother always says it keeps freezing every few seconds. He also reports the same issue when watching on his phone. He has a similar setup (8700K with 1080 Ti) and uses the exact same internet plan as me. We both live in the same town. However, when I watch streams from Russia, everything works perfectly on both my PC and phone.
These problems only appear when I stream using the same PC I'm playing on.
What's really strange is that I built a separate PC for streaming with an Elgato PCIe card, and it works fine for others. But when I switch back to my gaming rig, the pauses and lag continue. I checked if GeForce Experience auto-records, but it doesn’t work.
Another thing that’s odd is my internet technician set up my brother's modem, and his connection only reached 700 Mbps with a coaxial splitter—something I never needed. To be clear, I live in Chicago, while my brother lives in a suburb nearby. It’s weird that when we watch each other’s streams, they freeze and lag, even though we have top-tier equipment. But I can stream any other stream without issues. So yes, it seems to happen on his setup too.
All my software and Windows updates are current.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
