You currently have three hard drives: your operating system, storage, and games drive. You're about to reinstall Windows 7 and wanted to understand the process. When you restart, you'll enter BIOS and set boot priority for the USB drive—will it prompt which drive to install? Regarding the ISO file, you mentioned it was from a Microsoft Forum, but you're unsure if it's safe. The name you provided is X17-58997.sio—please verify its authenticity before using it.

Consider obtaining a new ISO if uncertain about the current one. It’s best to source it from MS. You’re correct about the first step—navigate to BIOS (or the direct boot menu if available) and choose the first boot device as USB, which you previously connected via ofcourse. If it’s a Kingston USB, it will appear as USB:Kingston Datatraveler or similar. After loading, it will prompt for a fresh install; choose yes, then you’ll see the partition menu where you pick the OS installation location. It will warn about existing OS and clearing it, so confirm or skip to format immediately (this is my preferred way). Following this, unpacking and installation will begin. You’ll receive some basic questions like your name and Windows CD key, but that’s the essential part.

Do I need to unplug other drives or just select the installation direction? Also, can you use the key from your old Acer PC to scan for the code? You mentioned having a picture—does that help with the process?

Here are a few ways to rephrase your message:

This process should be easy to follow. It’s not as complicated as some previous systems, and the interface is very intuitive. Just stay calm and read through it carefully.

Great, and you're welcome. Unfortunately, I ended up diving into Diablo 3 right after I shared the link, which made it hard to keep track of time. Appreciate the support!
