That’s how the PC operated without any maintenance, even though I recall it running smoothly. Cleaning the dust buildup helped lower the temperatures more than expected.

Based on the manuals and older information, it appears you can increase the RAM up to a maximum of 8GB.

The system won't speed up as expected. Windows may notify about low memory, but it doesn't necessarily improve performance.

Checked the eBay page for Intel compatibility. It mentions support for Intel.

It works on Windows 7 and based on what I've observed and tried, the computer appears to have sent a notification about low memory.

If you placed the order, you’d have to place a new request based on what you observed—a 2x4GB drive at 800MHz.

Then it doesn't require additional storage space. This won't improve performance. W7 will issue a warning if system memory is low, causing sluggishness due to page file usage. In my view, I'd create a clone of the existing drive and store it on a reliable solid-state hard drive. The difference would be significant.

There is a service that lets you duplicate a drive. You can often find such tools online, especially if you rely on cloud storage and have a small SSD ready.

You're wondering if this item won't function properly because the channel can only handle up to 2GB.
