I looked through the web and discovered this essentially means you don’t need to refresh your page every few seconds just to check for alerts or keep the page open in case you receive a notification. The implementation is really smooth, possibly even more refined than what was shown in the forums.
A discussion was posted in OT with a pinned comment from @linusforsell.
I avoid it since I don’t wish to feel pressured to join the forum while I should be focusing on work.
