You're using a GTX 980 Ti and need a compatible CPU.
You're considering a setup with your GTX 980 Ti paired with an i5 4670K. Overclocking the i5 to 4.5 GHz and boosting its RAM to 2166 MHz over clocked could improve performance, but it depends on stability and compatibility. Make sure your motherboard and cooling are up to the task.
Consider getting an R5 3600 since the i5 creates a performance issue.
Obtain an R5 1600AF with 3000MHz RAM and 16GB memory, plus a Tomohawk MAX ATX board for optimal performance and easy future upgrades.
I already have the GPU and my budget is $450 aus (270 usd), which isn’t much. This setup has everything except a GPU, which should be okay since I haven’t used an SSD before. There are two running RAID 0s, so I’m not sure if it will cause any issues. The market for RYZEN is limited and overpriced here, so I’m still in a tough spot.
