Screen tear might relate to VSync? I'm not completely confident.

My PC is registered in my settings, textures are at normal levels while other aspects run at maximum, only two frames per second during intense moments. FPS stays around 60, dropping to 50 occasionally under stress. Never saw it fall into the 40s. Wish I had more VRAM for high or very high texture quality but kept saving. Edit: After GPU overclocking, I started crashing roughly every ten minutes; I’ve reverted to stock and it’s stable now.

FPS changes often meaning it isn't perfectly matched with your monitor. I don't use Vsync because the frame rate falls under 60, then it drops to 30. But on a budget system under £400 (including all parts) it works well! Especially at 1080p.

780 SLI, i7 3820 @ 4GHz, 1440p SSD with all settings optimized (MSAA x2, reflection boosted). Didn't adjust advanced features. Performance: 55fps for foliage, 80-120fps otherwise.

The initial adjustment in the visual settings is to disable the limit.
