I heard Ryzen benefits from higher RAM speeds, so I purchased a CORSAIR VENGEANCE LED 8X2 DDR4 3000MHz RAM. It’s currently running at 2133 MHz. I’m considering increasing it to 3000MHz. Will this affect its performance? If not, what steps can I take to reach that speed?

You'll need to turn on a feature called XMP in BIOS to run your RAM at 3000Mhz. To describe it simply, it's an overclock preset with settings specific to that RAM. You can look up compatibility of RAM/mobo from manufacturer's website.
