I heard Ryzen benefits from higher RAM speeds, so I purchased a CORSAIR VENGEANCE LED 8X2 DDR4 3000MHz RAM. It’s currently running at 2133 MHz. I’m considering increasing it to 3000MHz. Will this affect its performance? If not, what steps can I take to reach that speed?

Please be aware that you'll need to familiarize yourself with overclocking. There isn't a general rule that applies to everyone, since each configuration and scenario varies. Still, we're here to assist. Shall we begin by identifying your model?

You'll need to turn on a feature called XMP in BIOS to run your RAM at 3000Mhz. To describe it simply, it's an overclock preset with settings specific to that RAM. You can look up compatibility of RAM/mobo from manufacturer's website.

NOTE - You're going to have to read up on overclocking. There's no blanket statement that anyone can give you, as each setup and situation is different. With that being said, we can try and help. Let's start with the MB. Which one do you have?
I have a ASUS B350-PLUS motherboard
