Hello.
I’ve chosen to purchase this laptop for gaming purposes, specifically for rendering 3D models. It comes with a GTX 1050, which I think is sufficient for most games at 1080p. My goal is to maximize its performance, even if it means pushing the limits. However, since it’s a laptop, I’m aware that overclocking the GPU isn’t advisable. To address this, I plan to install a vacuum cooler. I’m considering this one here:
http://www.amazon.in/gp/aw/d/B01GED0WCM/...ref=plSrch
I’d like to confirm if this cooler would suit my machine and if it would provide enough power.
Also, could you share the recommended temperature range for a laptop during gaming?
Thank you!

Hi,
So a few points to consider... I believe you'll be okay with just a minor OC and normal cooling. I wouldn't go overboard... The 1050 should perform well at 1080, I think... I don't have one, but I thought they were decent at that resolution...
Regarding the vacuum, I'm not sure... I haven't used one before. What I do use with my laptop (which is older than yours) is a cooling pad... It really helps by moving air under the device to improve circulation... I'm not saying it won't work, but it seems a bit of a gimmick...

Hi,
Just a few points... I believe you'll be okay with a very minor OC and just regular cooling. I wouldn't go overboard... The 1050 should work at 1080, I think... I don't have one myself, but I thought they were decent at that resolution...

Thank you for your message! I hope you find the answers helpful.
In both scenarios, the frame rate should stay above 45 FPS.
Regarding your laptop, how many years have you used it?
My older brother claims that laptops with graphics cards often fail after a year or so. Is this accurate? The reviews from Amazon suggest my machine doesn’t cool well enough. If I choose to overclock, I’ll need a better cooler.
Would using the built-in cooling system safely handle heavy games?

Like I said, I don't have a 1050, but from a quick internet search, I don't see any reason why not... It should run both those titles well. I would think max settings or close too... I've run both games at max settings and near max with my old rig and I didn't notice a lot of difference...
As for the laptop, mine is an aging Dell with 2gb gt 650m, a I7 3630QM, 2 SSDs, and 16gb 1600 ddr3. I've had it about 3 or four years and bought it used on ebay. I wanted a laptop at the time that could game for not a ton of cash...
I've never OCed it, but it runs strong and still plays most games, though at minimal settings on the new stuff. I use it these days to play older titles away from home, and my desktop at home to play the new stuff... As for your friend's assertion that laptops die after a year or so, well... Mine is still running strong with no problems at all...
