Hello everyone,

I’m currently assembling components for a new PC intended as a dependable tool for data analysis. Here’s what I’m planning:

- **Estimated Purchase Timeline:** Within the coming weeks
- **Budget Expectation:** Around $500 to $600 before discounts and shipping costs
- **Primary Uses:** Data processing in Excel, SQL queries, PowerBI visualizations, and some AI/ML tasks. No gaming or heavy graphics workloads. A high-end GPU (4070) is planned for a few months from now.
- **Monitor:** Not required at this stage
- **Upgrades Needed:** Starting fresh, I only have a 256GB SSD, keyboard, mouse, and monitor. No other parts are being replaced.
- **Operating System:** OS already installed – no need to purchase new one
- **Preferred Retailers:** Local sites in Mumbai such as Amazon.in, Flipkart.com, Gameloot.in, and PrimeABGB
- **Location:** Mumbai, India
- **CPU Preferences:** Open to both AMD and Intel options
- **Overclocking:** Not desired
- **Multi-Chip Architecture:** Possibly considering SLI or Crossfire later
- **Monitor Resolution:** Currently WFHD, thinking about upgrading to 4K
- **Future Considerations:** PSU and case should support future upgrades and possibly a high-end GPU. A quiet build would be ideal.
- **Main Reason for Upgrade:** My existing PC is outdated and struggles with my data analysis and AI workloads.

I value your advice and any suggestions you might have. I’m aiming for a setup that meets my professional needs now and allows room for expansion in the future.

Thanks in advance!

How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice This guide is based on responses in this thread about seeking upgrade advice. First, acknowledge where the respect should go—this adaptation comes from the original *How To Ask For New Build Advice* post. I put it together because many users are asking for similar guidance on forums and CPU sites. Forums. Please note your location, as most readers are from the US, UK, Australia, with a few from Asia.

You were recommended a great build in this discussion; suggestions for an upgradeable PC under $500 in India.
Hi, I’m planning to assemble a new PC with a budget under 500$ (basic CPU/RAM/GPU but upgradable later). Estimated purchase time is within two weeks. Budget after discounts should be around $500-600. Usage priorities from most to least important: data processing, AIML, Meta Quest VR. Are you purchasing a...

Would reducing the specification to AM4 offer advantages?

I would prefer AM5 instead of AM4 for this upgrade.
