Ok so... I have a Samsung RF511 laptop and im locked out. I was my main compuiter for a long time and i wanted to factory reset it so i could use it for something else. I was unable to factory reset it correctly because that backup seems to have an issue, but i ended up reseting it back to a backup that happened the same day i bought the laptop. My issue is that there is a password lock on the computer and i have no idea what the password is. How can i either change the password or bypass the password and also how do i factory reset the laptop????? Many Thanks Overloss123

Try Konboot to get around it. It functions on Windows 7 but remains uncertain for 8 or 8.1. Note: It works in the newest release, though it's now a paid product instead of free previously. Just download it and use it once.

You can start with a Kali Linux live USB and employ the chntpw tool to modify it or attempt brute force. Follow this procedure: http://moinkhans.blogspot.com.au/2013/10...-with.html
