It's strongly suggested to go through the tutorial to grasp the fundamentals and test against bots. The process may require some time, but it depends on your learning speed. After getting comfortable, you'll definitely enjoy playing.

I've been enjoying it for over a year now. I don’t play many MMOs, but I started with Dota because it was just a map mod. Anything works.

Choose your favorite character and pick the best hero for that role. It’s better if it’s not an item-based hero.
