You're interested in buying a CPU for your gaming setup.
You're considering the i5 9600K and i5 9400F for your gaming PC. Since you've already bought the 9600K, you're thinking about getting a discount on the 9400F. What do you think about choosing one over the other? (You won't be overclocking.)
You wouldn't receive anything if you haven't received the remaining components. 3600 offers the best value for your money.
You should retain the i5 if you already have it. Otherwise, consider exchanging the motherboard for a B450 and pairing it with a Ryzen 5 CPU.
I'm using a 9400f on a z390 board and it handles gaming, WoT, Frostpunk, Total War at 144hz with a 1660 MHz clock. The 390 board supports RAM speeds above 2666MHz, which boosts frame rates.
Got it. You're picking up the 9400f now, and I appreciate the understanding about my return window. Thanks!
I highly recommend returning the board. You receive significantly better value with a Ryzen 5 3600 and a B450 board. It's not only more affordable, but it also performs much faster.
