I'm trying to figure out where I should share this issue. The PC port of Last of Us isn't causing major complaints, but I haven't heard about it before. People with similar specs are getting higher FPS numbers. My main challenge is hitting 30 FPS or more without lowering the resolution to 800x500. At lower resolutions and settings, my FPS stays around 90, but my GPU is consistently above 5000. It's confusing—am I missing something or facing a real bottleneck?

Ensure you have the correct DDU GPU drivers installed. If missing, reinstall them for optimal performance.

Open your startup directory and turn off all except Microsoft Defender. In Windows settings, switch game mode to on so it stops unnecessary background processes. Ensure no programs are running before starting the game, and verify that auto-update options for Windows and your apps are disabled. Perform a basic system check every couple of weeks. If you used any bundled software, remove any bloatware. Defender performs efficiently most of the time with minimal resource use. Free tools often drain performance by constantly tracking your activity.
