I forgot to note that the images I'm receiving for the bios come from the integrated graphics included with the CPU. I'm using a monitor that supports both DVI and VGA inputs, which lets me test different sources when something isn't working. I completed the CMOS reset but still didn’t get a response. The GPU doesn’t require an external power supply—it draws power directly from the PCI-e slot, which has no dedicated power connection. Edited April 3, 2022 by ntnavy
To confirm, did the previous owner try it out before or after you purchased it? Were you present during the testing, or was it just informed that they had done it?
I checked the card after discovering it wasn’t functioning. I visited the previous owner’s place and ran tests on his system, and it worked perfectly. I also ran some benchmarks with him to confirm everything was fine (his setup is newer, likely a Ryzen CPU, though I’m not sure about the motherboard).
This process was completed on the prior owner's system and the GPU functioned properly
Maybe the BIOS update from 2021-03-16 would help? https://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/eol/in...3#download There's also a Bios update utility from 2021-04-13 that might help. Sadly, it might be a board/bios incompatibility with the firmware of the card.
The recent update is simply a visual change when launching the system. The actual improvement came in 2017. I’m starting to suspect there might be compatibility issues, especially with GPUs. Also, it’s unclear how to modify the BIOS to UEFI since some older cards don’t support non-UEFI versions.
Your information is UEFI-based. The details are clearly shown in the screenshots.
