No, I haven't tried any other disk. I'm only considering DVD-R formats.

Certainly, the system confirms presence and can identify hidden files not visible in Explorer.

ImageBurn must include a feature to delete the disc, give that a shot.

You cannot delete a DVD-R, and writing it blank isn't possible because the final burn seals it permanently (once).
