I've already tried every possible fix and haven't found a solution yet. I plan to rest and replace the motherboard battery to see if that helps. Any additional suggestions would be really helpful since I'm quite frustrated.

I face the same issue but only at certain times; do your GPU fans turn on when you power up? Are the front panel buttons functional? EDIT: I see we don’t share any parts beyond the motherboard. I own a Gigabyte B550m DS3H, which might have a comparable chipset. This could suggest the motherboard is the problem?

My GPU is overheating and spinning, but the front panel works only when the PC is powered on, not when it's turned off.

Yes, I've verified that your GPU has the most recent drivers installed.

I downloaded the newest GPU drivers prior to installing my optical drive.

I swapped out the battery on the motherboard, but there’s no improvement. I’m confused about what might have gone wrong with my PC’s motherboard, especially since adding an optical drive could potentially lock it from showing BIOS.

You've reviewed my explanation and still can't pinpoint the issue, despite knowing all the details. Should I simply replace the motherboard if nothing else works?

Examine your rams closely—it’s possible you’ve dropped some SMD parts onto them. G.Skill Trident Z Neo tend to have minimal movement at the edges where the slot rail slides in. The best approach is to leave the rams out and listen for four long beeps; this usually indicates a faulty ram. Test one stick at a time.

Thank you all for your assistance. I’m glad the issue was resolved. I’m still unsure exactly what caused the problem. After taking everything apart and reassembling, my computer is now working perfectly, including the optical drive that initiated it all.

It seems like a small fastener is missing or not properly attached. You might have seen a loose screw, a metal file, or your RAM didn’t click in.
