It’s my first time posting on a forum, and my English is still developing as a second language, so please forgive any mistakes in grammar. Here are the details of what I’m using:
Hardware:
- CPU: NZXT N7 B550 with Ryzen 5 5600G
- Cooler: Lian Li GALAHAD AIO 240 RGB v2
- GPU: RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC 8GB
- PSU: Cooler Master V series V750 Gold (750W)
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4-3200 C16
- SSD: Samsung 980 Pro with M.2 slot (OS installed here)
- Motherboard: Some Corsair and Lian Li fans
I’ve checked for any damaged parts, but everything seems fine. The system runs smoothly enough—games load and I can play normally. However, when I start Overwatch every few seconds, the mouse freezes briefly, the mic turns off and back on, sometimes not at all. It also occasionally shuts down the keyboard. Recently, the stuttering got worse in Rainbow Six Siege but not in Overwatch. Sometimes it happens even on the desktop.
The weird part is that the issue changes depending on the game. The mic sound was once like a chipmunk (no voice changer installed), and during Overwatch it became very loud.
Things I’ve tried:
- Restarted the PC and rebooted it
- Reinstalled Windows 10 and 11
- Changed storage devices (SSD first, then HDD)
- Set power plan to High Performance
- Disabled power-saving on all USB ports
- Switched GPU
- Updated OS, GPU, BIOS, drivers
- Moved games to different drives
- Reinstalled software and drivers
- Updated from Windows 10 to 11
I’m not sure if I missed something, but that’s about everything I’ve done so far. If you have any suggestions or tips, I’d really appreciate it.
Consider stopping all programs you normally run and then reintroduce them gradually. It might be that a program you use is conflicting with anti-cheat systems.
How do you obtain a cooler master v750? These units haven't been available for a long time, and many prefer not to buy rtx3000 series cards because they don't perform well with the spikes.
Consider opening Task Manager and Startup Programs, then disabling everything one at a time to check for interference. I’m not sure you’ve done this before, but I’ll try again. Thanks.

Because your PC didn’t just stop abruptly, it’s probably not a power supply issue. Since you’re in SWE, the SKU might not be available elsewhere. You can review the list and choose a PSU from there. I didn’t locate your specific model, but Cooler Master 80+ Gold works well. The PSU tier reference is version 17.0g from Cultists Network.
Yes, or you can stop them and see if any background tasks are active. Also, if you're using a wireless mouse, try moving the receiver nearer to the mouse. USB 3.0 is known to disrupt wireless mice (I use an extension to keep the receiver close... otherwise plugging in an external drive between it and the receiver causes issues).
I’d be happy to take your word, but I’m considering upgrading to a Corsair RM750x 750W 80+ Gold Certified fully modular ATX power supply. Would you like to test it out and find out how it performs?
I'm going to try the task thing and the PSU. I also have an extension cable for the receiver, which is about 20cm (7.8 inches) away from the mouse. I've tested both the 2.0 and 3.0 models, but I'll check again when I get home.
