Hello everyone, I'm working on fixing a friend's Dell Alienware Aurora R11 by completely erasing all drives and reinstalling Windows. I've faced numerous errors during the installation process. I've deleted everything from the hard drives several times, used different USB sticks as install media, recreated the ISO file on various computers, and even tried Ubuntu to see if it would work. However, the installer still wouldn't load properly. During setup, Windows usually goes through copying files, preparing them, installing features, and updates, but it stops at the point of saying "Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase." The only solution I've tried is restarting the PC after clicking OK. I ran Dell's internal hardware test and it reported no issues, but I'm unsure what to do next. I've checked countless online guides without success. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The system is unable to get ready to advance to the next setup stage. Restart the installation to proceed.
I've faced similar issues before because extra USB devices were connected. It's unclear exactly what triggered it, but removing all devices and keeping the display, mouse, and keyboard plugged in helped Windows install. After accessing the desktop, you can reconnect those additional devices.
